A Parma woman is accused of prostitution at an Independence hotel. Dena M. Mitchell, 28, faces misdemeanor charges of prostitution and falsification in the Sept. Her arraignment is scheduled at 1 p. An officer began investigating and found two posts on backpage.
The officer called a number listed in one of the posts and spoke with a woman, who agreed to meet him in exchange for cash. The woman also asked the officer to bring cigarettes, soda and candy to a hotel room, according to the report.
Officers arrested Mitchell at the hotel shortly after 4 a. She admitted to being there with another Parma woman, and said the other woman set up the backpage. The other woman was not found at the hotel. A hotel manager told police the women were staying in rooms registered to Cleveland men, but neither was found at the hotel.
