I think prostitution is legal in Poland. Supposedly if you have a car in Warsaw, you'll constantly get flyers for escort services stuffed under your wiper blades. Definately no red light districts as you'll find them in Germany or, or course, Amsterdam. You also see lots of places called "Sex Shops" scattered around all over the place. Some of my students claimed a few of these were brothels.
Most just seemed to be porn shops from what I could tell. Seriously, if you're just looking for sex, go to Hamburg or Amsterdam. Prostitution is not legal but Poland seems to have dual moral standards: I once saw a funeral house with cross and everything RIGHT next to the brothel, which officially is always called " escort services".
Taxi drivers know all such places. Places having Ukrainian or Russian women should probabl be preferred, some sources say they are more attractive then the polish selection.
